        "The principal gallery of the [[Obalne galerije - Coastal Galleries]] network, [[Piran City Gallery]] is the most important exhibition spaces on the Slovene coast. It plays an important role in presenting modern and contemporary art and was totally renovated in 2012 by the architect [[Boris Podrecca]]. The purpose of the reconstruction was to protect and preserve the cultural monument, complete static consolidation of the heavily cracked building, while updating the gallery by acquiring additional gallery surfaces.\n\nPiran City Gallery prepares approximately 6 exhibitions annually, out of which the summer exhibition is reserved as the main location of the painting section of the [[Ex-tempore Piran - International Painting and Ceramics]]. Besides international architectural meetings - [[Piran Days of Architecture]] -  Gallery also showcases projects from [[Piranesi Award]]."
